This store is a one-person experiment. I'm Pheeniks. I make roleplay, worldbuilding and AI-chat things at darealpheeniks.com, and this store is how I'm trying to turn that hobby into a little income. Everything below is how it actually works, including the unglamorous parts. If anything here stops being true, I'll update this page and the date above.

Who's behind it

  • One person. No team, agency or warehouse, and no dropshipping of random products.
  • Same owner as the main site. darealpheeniks.com (WordPress) and darealpheeniks.store (Shopify) are both run by me. Tips go through Ko-fi.
  • Just starting out. There are no reviews yet. Any reviews you see here later will come from real buyers.

How AI is used

  • Digital products (prompt packs, templates, kits) are drafted with AI assistance, then reviewed, rewritten and edited by me before release. Every digital product page says this too.
  • Merch artwork is built from the PHEENIKS logo and brand fonts. No AI image generator was used to make the merch designs.
  • This store itself: I used an AI assistant (Claude) to help set up the theme, draft pages and policies, and calculate the pricing breakdowns. I review what goes live, and I'm responsible for it.
  • Prompts depend on the model. Prompts are written to work across AI chat platforms, but output varies by model and settings. I can't guarantee what any AI will say.

Where your money goes

Every product page has its own breakdown. Here's how a typical $7 digital download splits:

My Shopify Basic plan is a fixed monthly fee that comes out of what I keep. Sales tax, where it applies, is collected at checkout and passed on to the government. It isn't profit.

Merch is print-on-demand through Printify. Nothing gets printed until you order it. Each merch page lists the real base cost Printify charges me, the card fee, and what's left for me. Shipping is charged at the rate the print partner charges me, with no markup.

Things this store will never do

  • No fake "compare at" prices, fake sales or countdown timers.
  • No fake reviews, star ratings or "only 3 left!" pressure.
  • No hidden subscriptions. Everything here is a one-time purchase.
  • No selling your data. See the privacy policy for what Shopify collects to run checkout.

If there's ever a real sale, it'll say why and when it ends.

Who else is involved

  • Shopify runs the store, checkout and payments.
  • Shopify Digital Downloads emails you the download link after purchase.
  • Printify and its print partners print and ship merch. They get your name and shipping address for merch orders only.
  • Not affiliated: I'm not sponsored by or affiliated with Janitor AI, Character.AI, SillyTavern, OpenAI, Anthropic or any other platform mentioned here. Names are only used to describe what a product works with.
  • No affiliate links are in this store right now. If I ever add one, it'll be labeled.

Licenses, in plain words

Digital products are for you to use, including in commercial projects (your own bots, campaigns, stories, streams). What you can't do is resell or re-share the files themselves. The exact license is in each file.
